Still Praying...

Peace Loving! Father God, help my children make every effort to do what leads to peace. (Romans 14:19)
Joy- Heavenly Father, grant that my children would be filled with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 1:6)
Perseverance- Lord, teach my children to persevere in all they do, and help them run the race set before them. (Hebrews 12:1)
Humility- God, please cultivate in my children the ability to show true humility toward all. (Titus 3:2)
Compassion- Holy Father, I pray that You would clothe my children with the virtue of compassion. (Colossians 3:12)

Family Reunion

This weekend my side of the family joined together to celebrate my sister's birthday...what a blast! We havent all been together...ever! (I can say that because the last time we were together, 3 years ago, Molly wasn't born...). It was so great to see everyone, I love and miss them all!

This is my brother, Jim, and his lovely wife, Jen...
This is my brother, Paul, his friend Tammy, and my nieces, Nicole and Courtney...
Courtney and Ava...
Paul, Jim, my sister Kathryn, my mother Linda, me, my father Jim...
The shared memories brought smiles, laughter, a few tears and, at last, a sense of contentment. I love my family, and I hope to continue to grow closer to each member!

A Wonderful Father's Day

It started off with breakfast in bed...meant for one...but Molly couldn't resist the inviting little table, she sat and shared Dad's meal!
We spent the rest of the day trying to stay cool...shopping at the mall...playing in the hose...splashing in the wading pool...
The girls had almost as much fun as Dad!
Ava hiding from the crazy guy with the hose...AKA "Daddy"
Two happy girls who LOVE their Daddy!

The New Office

Wow...we are finally ready to move into our new office! It seems like we have been dreaming about it for so long, I can't believe it is really here! Yesterday we spent hours unloading boxes of dental supplies and adding our own personal touches...hopefully Beth gets a chance to hang pictures with the interior decorator this weekend so we will be ready for our patients next week!
It has really been wonderful that she let us "employees" help out in some of the decision making (i.e. I created the name and logo, Kodi helped plan the layout of the office) it makes us feel like it is really our office!

Anyway, I think it will be worth the drive to Parker to be a part of this office....for myself as an assistant and to all of you who are looking for a great dental practice for your little "Sweetpea's"!

Keep Praying for Families...

Faithfulness- Let faithfulness never leave my children, but bind this virtue around their necks. (Proverbs 3:3)

Courage- Lord, may my children always be strong and courageous in their character and their actions. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Purity-Create in my children pure hearts, O God, and let that purity of heart be shown in their lives. (Psalm 51:10)
Kindness- Father, I pray that my children would be kind to each other and to everyone else. (1 Thessalonians 5:15)

Generosity- Lord, I pray my children would be rich in good deeds, generous and willing to share. (1 Timothy 6:18)

Everything Has It's Season

As many of you know, I have been blessed the last few months with some time off from work. The dentist that I work for is opening her own practice, so the last few months I have been staying at home (mostly) and helping her get some of the preparations done. I knew the spring would fly by, but I guess I didn't realize how fast...I go back to a "real" job on Monday! I have mixed feelings...I am so excited to be a part of this new office...I can't wait to be part of an office again...but it is going to tear me apart to be away from the girls again!
We tried to pack in some fun things this spring, and we enjoyed doing our activities during the week days. I feel that we made very good use of our time, and I am so blessed to have had this time with the kids, I know most working moms would do just about anything to have an extra "maternity leave" without actually having a new baby! I loved almost every minute of it!
Anyway, thank you to all my friends who helped me cope with the "housewife" shock, the post-working-blues, and showing me the ropes on keeping the kids busy! I really appreciate your support and friendship! And thank you Dr. Beth for giving me the greatest gift a person could give...time with my family! I love you all, and please come visit me at the office!

Trip to the Park

How refreshing...a day in the park! Ava, Molly and I
met my in-laws (Roger and Mary), and my nephew (Odin) at Belleview Park today. We had a blast!
Molly's favorite person is Papa...even greater than Mommy! She was so happy to see him!
We all rode the train together...the conductor/engineer thought it would be fun to go really fast on one stretch...we all had white knuckles! How embarrassing...
Molly was attacked by the little pig...at first he was just teasing her, snapping at her dress, then he tried her hand...and SNAP...he bit her leg! I didn't think he really did, but then he ran over a bit Mary!
Besides the "Pig Incident", we had a great time!

Another Person's Treasure

Yeah...neighborhood garage sale day! I have never been very good at garage sale-ing, and I really have no intentions of improving my skills. It's not that I don't enjoy a great bargain...I just don't have the time or patience to sift through a table overloaded with nic-nac's and stained baby clothes to find that special something for 25 cents. So, when I caught wind of the community sale I didn't think much of it. Last night I was visiting with our neighbors, and one of the guys asked if we were going to participate. "No...I have to work. You?" He was shocked that I wasn't bummed about it. He showed me the incredible play set he was getting rid of and then one by one neighbors were inviting me into their garages to have first pick at all of their sale items! "Take this! Ava needs one of these! Molly would love this!" They were all dragging things to our yard that they felt my girls needed! I am happy to say that our back yard now looks like the "Little Tykes" show room! Ava has a new bike (just her size...with training wheels). But more important, I have a street full of people who seem to know and care about my family...I hadn't realized that until last night! What a blessing!
